Practice Charter
Patient Confidentiality We are very aware of the importance of confidentiality for all our patients. Our reception area is open, but we can provide a quiet area for you to speak to the receptionist or another member of staff if you need a private conversation.
Patient Information
We keep a large variety of information sheets and leaflets for our patients’ use. If you can’t see what you need please ask. We have a practice newsletter which is usually published quarterly, where we can share information about the practice and the services we offer. We will also highlight a particular health issue in each publication. We are keen to receive comments and suggestions from our patients which might further improve our services - please contact Barbara Green, our practice manager.
Complaints
We have an in-house complaints procedure with which we would hope to be able to answer any concerns or complaints you may have. Please ask at reception or speak to the practice manager. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive from the practice we will explain how to take your complaint further.
Freedom Of Information – Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely make available. This scheme is available from reception.
Zero Tolerance
We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.
