HOW
DO I... Make an appointment?
All appointments are through
the receptionists, either by telephone or in person during office hours. You
may be asked to speak to a doctor to assess the urgency of your request. Our
nurses run Minor Ailment sessions. You may be asked the reason for your appointment
request so we can offer you an appointment in one of these sessions if appropriate.
Appointments may be made from 8.15am. A few appointments each day are pre-bookable,
the others can be booked 'on the day'. We have found this reduces the number
of missed appointments and offers more flexibility for our patients.
HOW
DO I... Obtain a Home Visits?
If you are housebound or too unwell
to attend the surgery, you may ask for a home visit by contacting the surgery.
It is helpful if such requests are made before 10.00am each day, as the doctors
have to plan their rounds before leaving the surgery. Emergency home visits may
be requested at any time.
HOW
DO I... Obtain Laboratory Test Results?
All results are checked by the doctor.
Please ask the receptionist, who will give you a message or arrange for you to
speak to the doctor. The best time to ring for results is 2.00 to 3.00pm. Please
do not forget to ask, as there are too many daily reports for us to get in touch
with you individually.
