Practice Nurses

Our Nurses hold morning and afternoon surgeries. See them about:

  • Immunisation
  • Travel advice
  • Dressings and removal of stitches
  • Ear syringing
  • Cervical smears
  • Contraceptive pill checks
  • Dietary advice
  • Minor illnesses

Plus any other referrals which your Doctor may arrange (eg ECG recording, hearing tests for adults).

Health Visiting/School Nursing

Sally Baker our, health visitor, visits families with new babies in the early weeks and is available to any parents with concern about the health and development of their children. She now also has some responsibility for the school children in their area. She runs a Child Health Clinic at Homerton Nursery School, Holbrook Road on the first and third Monday of each month between 9.30 - 10.30am and can be contacted Monday to Friday on 249768. If you register at the Practice with a pre-school child, please ring Sally on the above number.

Midwife

The district midwife holds regular antenatal clinics at the Surgery.

Counsellor

If you would like counselling, please discuss this with your usual Doctor.

Teaching

The Practice is associated with the Cambridge University Medical School and during the academic year senior medical students may be attached to the Practice for training.
