New Patient Registration
If you live within our practice area you are welcome to register with us and our reception staff will be happy to guide you through the procedure.
We are happy to register patients living in those parts of Cambridge City to the east of the river, south of Newmarket Road and in the South Cambridgeshire villages of Cherry Hinton, Teversham, Fulbourn, the Shelfords, Stapleford and Trumpington. The solid line superimposed on the map below indicates our current boundary, whilst the broken line shows the extended area in which existing patients may move into and still remain registered at the practice.
Practice Area
You will need to complete a registration form (GMS1) and a new patient questionnaire which will provide useful information whilst we wait for your medical records to arrive from your previous doctor.
Medical treatment is available from the date of registration.
We have now made it easier as both forms have been merged into one.

Please note it may take up to 2 weeks to process your registration (If both forms are not completed this may cause a delay in your registration being processed). If you have recently moved to the area and are needing urgent medical help, then please call the practice first on 01223 247288.
Registration forms are available in the lobby of the practice or the registration form below can be downloaded and completed and either dropped into the surgery or emailed to: cpicb.generalqemp@nhs.net.
Temporary Registrations
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.
To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.

Disabled Access
We have good disabled access and all our GP consulting rooms are on the ground floor. We do occasionally use an upstairs consulting room for practice nurse and midwife clinics. Please let us know if you are not able to use the stairs comfortably so we can make other arrangements for you. We have a hearing loop installed at the reception desk and have a portable hearing loop for use elsewhere in the building when required.
